First town in Germany imposes curfew due to coronavirus

BERLIN (Reuters) – The first town in Germany imposed a curfew on Wednesday to slow the spread of the coronavirus, local authorities said, adding that citizens in the town of Mitterteich in southern Bavaria are still allowed to buy groceries, go to work and visit the doctor.

The curfew will last until April 2, authorities in the district of Tirschenreuth, close to the Czech border, said.
